About the Author

Greg Allgood is vice president of water and health at World Vision, the largest Christian relief and development organization in the world.  Under his leadership, World Vision reached 34 million people with clean water between 2016 and 2025—more than the population of Texas. At World Vision, he championed a disruptive effort to “finish the job” and reach everyone, everywhere World Vision works with clean water—first in Rwanda and then in Zambia, Honduras, and beyond.

Prior to joining World Vision, Greg worked for Procter & Gamble (P&G) for nearly twenty-seven years and was the founder of the P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water program, the P&G Nutrition Science Institute, and the P&G Health Sciences Institute. He earned a PhD in toxicology from North Carolina State University and both a Master of Science in public health and Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill.

Greg has worked with a wide range of C-suite executives as well as celebrities who have supported his efforts. He has partnered with individuals, corporations, and foundations resulting in more than $1.6 billion invested in providing clean water in the developing world. He has created cause-marketing programs used by global brands and retailers to successfully build businesses.

Greg lives in Boulder, Colorado, with his wife Elaine. They have four adult children and four grandchildren.
